Swampy
I couldn't resist twitching the Purple Swamphen on Friday at Minsmere; I took the day off and we heading down in the morning, getting to Minsmere at 11. The bird showed nicely at the back of South Girder; job done. And what a good decision it proved to be, as there was no sign o fit the following day - or the day after that.
Friday afternoon was spent on the beach at Aldeburgh, and in the evening we caught up with Suffolk birder David Walsh over a meal at the Butt and Oyster. Suffolk was looking lovely, and this rounded off a fantastic day.
